Arthur Baden Leon Crann

Crann, Arthur Baden Leon -81 of Dartmouth passed away January 20, 2015 in the Q E II Infirmary Site. Born in Bell Island, NL he was the son of the late Nathaniel and Ellen (Collins) Crann. Arthur worked in the Iron Ore Mines on Bell Island until their closure, he then moved to Nova Scotia. Arthur then work for the City of Dartmouth as a labourer for 35 years before retiring at the age of 57. Arthur spent most of his retirement years with his family at his camp in Upper Cornwall. He is survived by his daughters Diane (Bernie), Sheila (Robert) and Nancy; son Harry; sisters Mabel Parsons and Julia Taylor; grandchildren Joseph, Justin, Kirsta, Cindy, Brandi, Sarah, Ashley, Robyn, Brooke, several great grandchildren; and a special friend Tara Reid. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 56 years Alma; sons Blair and Brian; sisters Annie and Delfine. A memorial service will be held 11 am Monday January 26, 2015 in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home 217 Portland Street. Burial will take place in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
