

BEAVER, Bertha Adelaide—88, of Dartmouth, passed away April 19, 2013, at Oakwood Terrace. Born in Valley, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Edith Faulkner. She graduated from Dal School of Pharmacy and worked in the dispensary at Morris Drug Store for many years. The Anglican Church was a vital part of her life and she was an active member of ACW. Many people will remember her giving generously of her time and energy to a number of worthy causes. She is survived by brothers Gordon of Truro and Douglas of North River; children Susan (Ron Hrushowy), Darrell, and Roberta; grandchildren Clayton, Darrell, Dorothy, Tansy, and Darielle; great-grandson Anthony, who brightened her later years; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Guy Beaver, and brothers Ralph and Richmond. The family would like to thank the staff of Oakwood Terrace for the excellent care that she received. Donations in her memory may be made to the PWRDF, the Robin Rigby Trust, or other organizations that she supported. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place on Tuesday April 23 from 5-8pm in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street, Dartmouth.
