

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Brandon Mitchell Lamey, 38, of Dartmouth, NS. Brandon passed suddenly at home early morning Thursday December 19th, 2024. Born September 12th, 1986, in St. John, NB to parents Blair and Darlene (Harrison) Lamey.
Brandon’s family relocated to Spryfield, NS during his childhood which is where Brandon made many lifelong friendships and memories. Brandon graduated from Saint Patrick’s High School, during his high school career Brandon discovered his love of football, playing the position of defensive lineman #63 for the Fighting Irish. Brandon continued to enjoy playing football after graduation alongside many close friends as a team member for the Halifax Shockers.
Brandon started his career as a young adult in construction, primarily form work, as a labourer, carpenter, rigger and eventually climbing to his desired position operating Tower Crane upon his graduation from the Operating Engineers' Training institute of Nova Scotia in 2012. Brandon had a passion for his work and found great success within it, he had a strong work ethic and dedication to his work.
Brandon would spend his free time primarily with his children whom he loved, adored and did the very best he could for. He enjoyed taking his kids on trips to PEI and Cape Breton in the summers. Brandon and his kids always looked forward to the yearly trip to New Victoria to visit family and spend time on the ever famous (in his children’s eyes) Lamey’s Lane. They often spent time at Nanny and Grampy’s (his parents) together. Family was important to Brandon.
Brandon was a good friend to many and often known to be a great support to others when in need, he would help in anyway he could and lifted their spirits. Brandon enjoyed spending time with friends and stayed connected to many over the years. Brandon also enjoyed playing softball during the summers and along the side lines was often his children cheering him on.
Brandon was a member of The City Church in Spryfield, he often sought out council and guidance from Pastor Tim.
Brandon is survived by his parents, Blair and Darlene Lamey; brothers, Ryan Lamey, Nigel Lamey and Colby Lamey (Dee Corbin); best friend, bonded as brothers, Jordan Jones; former spouse and co parent Brittany Moore; children, Audrey Lamey, Maddison Lamey, Benjamin Lamey and Ryker Thistle; nieces and nephews, Keira Lamey, Darnell Lamey, Amari Lamey, Amarah Lamey as well as many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Brandon was predeceased by his grandparents, Carol Francis (Pye), Bruce Harrison, Thomas Lamey, Eva May Lamey, (Burchell).
The Family would like to extend a sincere thanks to First Responders, Police and Sheriff Services for their kindness and dignity during this difficult time.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday January 4th 1:00pm to 4:00pm at the Dartmouth Seniors Service Center, 45 Ochterloney St, Dartmouth.
