To all of you who are grieving this very tragic event I send my most sincere sympathy. I cannot begin to imagine how devastating this must be for you. I was a colleague who worked with Carol at Brookhouse School for many years. She had such a gentle spirit and went about her daily tasks in a quiet way. The little children who were fortunate enough to be in her class always had a "Great Year" because she mothered them all in her tender, caring way. I'll always remember her smile and how much she loved her dogs. I met Robert on a few occasions, but never really got to know him very well. This couple was quiet and private but I know that you, their family, loved them very much and will have a great sense of loss because of their deaths. My most sincere wish is that the loving care and support of your family and friends will be a constant source of comfort and encouragement in the weeks and months to follow as you begin to learn how to live your lives without Carol and Robert. God bless all of you.

Dear Brenda and Family,
I am deeply saddened by Carol's death. You and Carol lived just around the corner from me and I saw you often when I was at your Dad's corner store.
Then the three of us taught together for many years at Shannon Park School. Carol was an awesome teacher and a great influence on the many students that she taught there.
Carol always had a smile on her face that made her colleagues and students feel welcome when they saw her.
Take care!
You have my deepest sympathy!
Your childhood friend and former colleague!

It broke my heart to hear this news...Mrs. Rafuse was my favourite teacher when I was a child. I had actually tried to find her whereabouts earlier this year so I could touch base & express my appreciation for all that she did and the impact she had on me all those years ago. Now it's too late. Rest in peace, Mrs. are such a wonderful person. She & her husband's family are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you can find some peace.
