OBA, Charles O. “Charlie”, 35, of Dartmouth/Calgary passed away suddenly August 3, 2017 due to a workplace accident in Calgary AB. Born in Isoko, Nigeria, he was the son of Elizabeth (Chibogu) and the late Peter Oba. Charlie was a great father, husband and friend. He was always there for his sons. Charlie was a hard worker and goal oriented. He would not stop until the goal was achieved. Charlie loved his mother dearly and his entire family. He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Lanata (Sparks) Oba, step-son; Khaylis, sons; Carson, and Ari; brothers and sisters; Felicia Olowu, Scott Oba, Frank Oba, Kenneth Johnson, Lucky Oba, Samuel Oba, Rebecca Oba, Sandra Oba, Stephanie Oba, David Oba and Sharon Oba, many nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held from 10am – 10:45am. Funeral Service will be held at 11am, Wednesday August 16th in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home, Rev. Dr. Elias Mutale officiating.
