

It is with the deepest anguish that we say goodbye to our Mother, our Friend Charlotte Marie Horne of Dartmouth Nova Scotia. At the age of 75, encircled by love she passed away at home on February 25, 2013, following a fierce battle for her life. She was predeceased by her parents, Madeline and Augustin Hache, daughter Marie, grandson Jonathan, husband Cyril Horne (CY), brothers, Athanas( Yvonne ) and Andre (Gertrude)and son-in-law, Ron Waldon.
Charlotte was born on July 5, 1937, in Portage-River, N.B. She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen (Horne) Waldon, Aline George, son Leo and Carol-Ann Horne, grandchildren, Stephen George, Kimberly and Breana Horne, Sister Adele (Edmond) Hache, Azade ( Dorina) Hache , Vincent Lecler Marguerite, Aldre &Lidia, God son Robert and several nieces and nephews who adore her.
My Mother My Friend was a friend of Bill W & Al-Anon and anyone who appreciated these teachings.
My Mother My Friend made a house into a home to the many places and countries we traveled.
My Mother My friend knitted hundreds of dolls for the UN Peacekeepers to take to the children in Afghanistan.
My Mother My Friend hated to fly, but got on a plane by herself to go visit her granddaughters.
My Mother My Friend was so generous with her love to all of us who are left behind to grieve our loss.
My Mother My Friend I will miss forever, for she gave me years of kindness for which I can never repay.
We would like to thank all our friends and relatives who have traveled from near and far to help us through this dreadful time.
On behalf of our Mother our Friend we would like to thank Claudine Hache, Liana Jones and Sue LeBlanc for helping make her journey a peaceful transition and keeping Kathleen strong.
Dear God when My Mother My Friend reaches you in heaven please tell her how proud we were to call her My Mother and My friend, and when we look to the heavens we know she will be the brightest shining star looking down on us and offering her protection, and when we are faltering, we know you’ll be the wind beneath our wings.
Thank you Mom, for everything, may you rest in peace in the arms of the angels.
