Age 52 of Victoria Rd. Dartmouth, formerly of Isle Madame and L’Ardoise. Claire passed away in Dartmouth General Hospital on January 3, 2017. She was a daughter of the late John James and Esther Margaret Mauger. Claire in her life’s work was a certified Chef and Rigger. In recent years her disabilities kept her home, however she continued to enjoy cooking, looking after (pussers) her cat, her favourite beaches, keeping her well- guarded strawberry patch a secret and visiting and helping friends when she could. She will be missed. Claire is survived by her husband and friend James White; sisters, Jean Mauger, Margaret (Mario) Roukens; brothers, Howard (Bev) Mauger, Warren (Jane) Mauger and Bill Mauger and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brothers Wayne and Dennis. Cremation to follow and later a private family service will be held as per her wishes.
