
Sutherland, Daisy Marie, 78 of Halifax, passed away peacefully in the V.G. Hospital, Halifax. Born in Country Harbour, NS, she was the daughter of the late Hadley and Hazel (Josey) Fenton. Daisy taught school for a short time before moving to Halifax where she worked at the dockyard and Sears. She was a member of the Sheffield Baptist church and dearly loved her Lord. She was a fun loving person and shared her laughter with many friends. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her hobbies included knitting and working at puzzles and quizzes. She is survived by her son, Brenton (Lori), Sutherland, granddaughters Dayna and Shannon who were the pride of her life. She is also survived by sisters Audrey Langley, Phyllis (Malcolm) Jennings, Doreen (Bill) Webber, brothers Kenneth and Cecil (Janet) Fenton, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother Lloyd Fenton, sister-in-law May Fenton, brother-in-law Wilfred Langley, and nephew, Claude Langley.A graveside memorial service will take place at Dartmouth Memorial Gardens at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 28, with Pastor Henry Grift officiating. Many thanks go to the staff at the QE II Health Sciences Centre, Victoria Hall and V.G. Hospital for their wonderful care of Daisy in her final days.
