On behalf of the Halls who loved our “Uncle Dennis”, we remember him fondly as a great father figure , kind and generous , always with a smile. Our families were inseparable in Shannon Park, and when the parents partied, I was left to look after the boys....Uncle Den always slipped me an extra dollar which in those days was a fortune to a young girl . When I got my much desired easy bake oven for Christmas one year, I honoured Uncle Den with the first cake I baked. Although it was hard as a rock and a horrible colour he ate it and declared it the best cake ever. Such a kind man. And so well dressed all the time, he never looked messy and disheveled like the rest of us. With that glorious head of hair ! Mark and Paul your dad was one of the good guys and I know you will miss him, but will keep his memory alive in your hearts. Love Barbara

I want to express my most sincere condolences to the Hipgrave family on the passing of Dennis. He was my instructor and mentor when I became a soccer referee. His approach was tactful and most supportive. I will remember him fondly and my thoughts are with you at this difficult time. Dominique Henry
