Age 84, of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2021 in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born July 7, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Maude (Ross) Kent. Survived by husband of 64 years, Robert; children, Brian and Diane (Rick) Parkinson; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Tara), Joshua (Alex) and Joseph; great-granddaughter, Jaelynn; siblings, Reginald (Phyllis) and Anne; half-brother, Charles. Predeceased by sisters, Mary and Marjorie. She will be greatly missed by her family. Doris loved travelling, playing bingo and curling at the Dartmouth Curling Club; she was also a member of the Red Hat Society. Special thanks to the VON, home health care and staff of 4 East Dartmouth General Hospital for their care and compassion. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 28th at 11am in A L Mattatall Funeral Home. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, proof of vaccination, ID and masks are required. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
