Elsie Marion Gaetz

GAETZ, Tomorrow Elsie Marion – 82 of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2016 in the Ocean View Continuing Care Center. Born in Sherbrooke , she was the daughter of the late Percy and Levina (MacDonald) Jordan. She was a long standing member of the Native Council of Nova Scotia. She loved nature, her mi’kmaq culture and family. She was a recipient of the Silver Poet Award and was an avid self taught artist.Tomorrow is survived by her son, William O. W. (Emily) Gaetz; daughters, April L. (Peter Clark) Gaetz; Jeannie (Glenn) Murphy; Janet Gaetz all of Dartmouth, grandchildren, Aaron, Jared, Amanda, Douglas, William, Kora, Teela, Nicole, Shayera and Alisha; eight great grandchildren and a sister, Sharon Parker of BC, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by former husband, Theodore W. Gaetz; grandson, Davin Haight; sisters, Glady and Jean Jordan; twin brothers, Frankie Keith and Kenny Rogers. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held 3 pm on Monday, August 8, 2016 in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street. Rev. James Haughn officiating.
