Frances Elizabeth Christie-Wright

Christie-Wright, Mrs. Frances Elizabeth - of Dartmouth died peacefully June 18,2021 in her 85th year. Born in Halifax July 21,1935. She lived her life in Truro, Toronto until 1974 and Dartmouth. She was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Mary Christie-Boyle (Mother who was a survivor of the Halifax explosion) and Peter Christie (Father). She is survived by her sons; Douglas (Susan), Bruce (Muriel), daughter; Nancy (Glen), two grandsons; Corey and Andrew. Fran is survived by her only sister Margaret Ann (Gordon) Nichols of Belmont, NS. Fran had many nieces and nephews close and afar including many great ones. Fran worked for Stanfield’s after completing school 1955 leaving for Toronto raising her children, MacMillian Bloedel for 30 years retiring in 1994. Fran had a love for many things, Christmas, crafts, bowling, her garden, cats and dogs, her many day trips across the province and then 2000 the PC and internet loved meeting people from everywhere playing her games Bingo, burning music cd’s and anything she could do, she was amazing at it. Humour she loved a joke and had many to tell, it’s a Christie thing plus her smile and her blue eyes always lit up that smile. Met by Mom Dad, Harold, Jean, Helen and Medford, on your final flight, you’ll have your own wing’s soon, we're here waiting. Really a Blue Eyed Angel there’s one now. Well Mom you're going to be missed in everyone’s life but never losing you in our hearts. LOVE ALWAYS and don’t take any wooden nickels you frigger!!!! Cremation has taken place. Visitation and Memorial Service to take place on Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 10am to 11:30 with the service at 11:30 in the Best Western Glengarry Inn, Truro with burial at the Belmont Cemetery.
