Fred passed away peacefully with loved ones at his side.
He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley; daughter, Wendy (Paul) MacLean; son, Raymond (Barbara Graves); granddaughters, Jennifer (Nick) Kogon, Melissa (Brian) Bruce and Moya Turner and great grandchildren Keegan, and Liam Bruce and Drew and Ella Kogon.
Fred enjoyed sailing, hunting and fishing. He was a rigger with the Federal Government for over 40 years. He also was a member of the army reserves, holding a position of Staff Sargent.
He will be definitely missed by all.
A private family service will be held.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Fred Turner to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
