Garnet M. Adamson

Adamson, Garnet M. - 86, of Dartmouth passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side in the Dartmouth General Hospital Sunday February 7, 2016. Born in New Glasgow, he was the son of the late Francis and Ellen (McLeod) Adamson. He moved to Dartmouth to start a career with Trans Canada Airlines (later Air Canada) which lasted over 35 years. While working with Trans Canada he met his loving wife Margaret who also worked for the airline as a flight attendant\RN. He was an avid reader of history and biographies. He enjoyed many hours boating around the harbour and was very proud of having the best lawn on the street. Surviving are his loving wife of 62 years Margaret, son Michael (Karen), Kentville, daughters Kristine (Richard) Kempton, Dartmouth, Kelley Adamson, Vancouver, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A celebration of life service will be held 11am Friday February 12, 2016 in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home, Internment will take place in Heritage Oak Columbarium. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. Special thank you to Richard for all the love and support.
