For 35 years Jerry worked with the Department of Transportation as a Heavy Duty Mechanic. He loved being outdoors, fishing and berry picking. He especially enjoyed Sunday outings with his children when they were young.
He is survived by his children, Jenny (Audie), Bill (Cathy), John (Tina), Ernie (Yvonne), Joe (Sue) and Freddie; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Sullivan; son, Craig and daughter, Roxanne.
Cremation has taken place under the care of A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street, Dartmouth, NS. A private family service will take place. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
