Passed away peacefully on April 5, 2015 at Dartmouth General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born November 20, 1947 in Rencontre East, NL, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Caines and Theresa James and wife of the late George Tanner.
Geri worked as a commissionaire at the Halifax Regional Police Department and considered them a very important part of her life.
She leaves to mourn, her siblings, Thomas Caines (Barbara), Rencontre East, NL, Leslie Caines (Donna) London, ON, Gordon Caines (Peggy) Rencontre East, NL, Ada Caines, Dartmouth, NS, Debbie Kendell (Sidney) Morrisville, NL, George Caines (Kristi), California, Julia Mullins (John), London, ON, Della Mullins (Paul), Angus, ON, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 12-1pm, followed by a celebration of Geri’s life at 1pm, all from A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street, Dartmouth.
