

Gordon was employed for over 40 years with Bobby Gionet Painting & Decor. Gordon was an avid Toronto Maples Leaf’s fan and undeniably their number one supporter. He was the life of the party and was admired for his kind nature and incredibly strong will. He loved playing darts, fishing, and playing cards with his friends and family, and playing pool with anyone who wanted to take him on.
Gordon loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren. Gordon is survived by his sons; Brian (Lisa) Kentville; Shondal (Tara), Alberta; Steven (Gail), Dartmouth; daughters, Crystal (Norman), Ontario; Misty (Carl), Ontario; Alexis (Cortez), Dartmouth; Deanna (Simon), Dartmouth; grandchildren; Christopher, Kayla, Rebecca, Lexi, Tyrell, Alisha, Tiara, Tyrah, Tyrell, Dria, Aaliyah, CJ, Trenton and several great grandchildren; brothers; John (Marian), Clarence (Debbie), and Derek Johnson; sisters, Francine (Melvin), Bertha (Neil) and sister-in-law Rose Johnson. He is predeceased by his loving wife Erna Johnson; brothers, Rudy, Lawrence, Robert, David and James Johnson; sisters, Althea McCarthy and Enid Thomas.
Special thanks to the wonderful doctors and nurses at the Victoria General and Dartmouth General Hospital and the palliative services who provided invaluable care during his time there.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street, Dartmouth where visitation will take place, Wednesday, March 2, for family from 12-2 p.m. and for public from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service in Cherry Brook Baptist Church, 292 Cherry Brook Rd, on Thursday March 3, at 1 p.m. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
