Gwennyth Ellen Osborne

Osborne, Gwennyth E., of Dartmouth passed away Friday January 21, 2011 in the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Halifax she was a daughter of the late Laurie and Elsie May (Philips) Morash. She was a former member of the Dartmouth Curling Club, Past President of the Nova Scotia Mixed Curling Assoc., member of Paragon Golf and Country Club, Hartlan Point Golf Club, Dartmouth Lawn Bowling Club. Gwen represented Nova Scotia at the National Ladies Curling Competition and the National Lawn Bowling Competion 6 times. She was also a member of the I.O.D.E where she was the historian. Gwen was an avid paper toll crafts person, painter and knitter. Surviving are are husband Frank R., son Richard Kandall, sisters Laureen (Norman) Fleming, Carolyn (John) Currie, granddaughter Catherine (Darry) Oliver, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Shirley and Lillian (Hubley), brother Ronald Kendall. No visiting by request, a memorial service will be held 1pm Tuesday January 25, 2011 in Woodlawn United Church.
