Hazel Francis Darrow

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Hazel Francis Darrow at the Dartmouth General Hospital on October 5th, 2022. She was the daughter of Carl Casselman and Mabel (Blair) Porter. She is survived by her husband Jack, her sons Charlie (Tracey) and Jeff, her grandchildren Jared and Owen and her two brothers Charles Casselman (Irene Gunn), Upper Economy, and Lee Casselman (Bev Leopold), Three Mile Plains.

Hazel's early years were spent in Ontario living with her Uncle Charle and Aunt Minerva before moving to Nova Scotia.

Hazel is remembered fondly for her love for her family and friends. She was a long time Elvis Presley fan and took pleasure in her knitting of afghans that she gave to her family and friends. She also enjoyed time playing bingo with her bingo buddies and keeping in contact with her friends.

When talking to her family she would often end her conversation with "Love you".

The family would like to thank the staff of the Dartmouth General Hospital when she received care.

A Memorial Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 18th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm in A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home.

A Memorial Service will take place on Wednesday, October 19th at 2:00 pm in the Chapel at A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home.
