WEBB, Hazel Irene – of Dartmouth. A week after celebrating her 84th birthday in good spirits, laughing with her family enjoying strawberry shortcake and her favourite music, old age finally reached our beloved Hazel who went to Heaven surrounded by love early in the morning on July 8, 2022, to join her beloved husband, Bruce Webb.
Our fashionista and loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, loved to support her family, travel, and dance like no one was watching. Filled with grace and beauty, Hazel’s kindness, quick wit, and generosity were gifts to all who knew her. She will be fondly remembered for her love, immaculate home, wonderful cooking, and a smile that always lit up a room.
Born in Springhill Nova Scotia to Isabelle and Harold Cooke, Hazel was the youngest sister to her predeceased siblings Helen, Pauline, Jean, Marie, and Jack who she adored and loved dearly. Loved and cherished by so many, Hazel was a symbol of endless love for all who knew her. Hazel was an excellent friend and was always there to help anyone who needed it. She truly cared for and nurtured her family.
Hazel and love of her life “Babe” were married for 55 years. Hazel was so very proud of her son Kim (Lana) and daughter Robyn who she loved more than anything. Hazel enjoyed chatting with her nieces and nephews and will be dearly missed by all.
In her later years as the matriarch of her family, Hazel delighted in her visits with her grand children (Julie, Scott, Brittany (Matt) and Kyle and 6 great grandchildren (Jack, Annika, Isabelle, Hazel, Sophie, and Norah) who she loved to spoil with gifts, love, and laughter.
Hazel will be sadly missed and remembered every time we smell a rose, see a cardinal or monarch butterfly. As Nan would always say, “Love you More”. May she rest in peace among the loving angels.
