I just learned of the passing of your mother. Your parents were exceptional people to have known. It’s difficult to sum up how special my time was with Nanny.  I felt a strong bond with Nanny and always looked forward to hearing from her, whether in person, through one of her Xmas letters, or via email.  My fondest times with Nanny were when I would join the family for dinner.  Between the two of us, we would have the greatest laughs.  Most times we would both be in tears laughing at the most ridiculous things.  Chances were good that everyone else around the table would also end up in the same state of laughter.  Needless to say, Nanny had a contagious sense of humor.  I am certain that her sense of humor along with her daily routines (we can’t forget her self developed exercises!) lead to her long, healthy, and happy life.  Nanny, you will without a doubt be missed, but not forgotten.  Keep an eye on the cabbit population up there!

Donna and family:
Please accept our condolences on your mother/grandmothers passing.  I will always remember Helen's gracious manner and beautiful smile.  My aunts and especially my mother, Enid, used to reminisce about visits to Uncle John and Aunt Pearl's and the fun times they had with Helen and Vincent.
I also remember how Helen welcomed her aunt Edna into her home and looked after her so many years ago when Edna was ill.
As much as you will miss your mum/nan, she is now at eternal peace with Roy and all who have waiting for her.

      Our family still has fond menories of Ray, Helen, and Donna who lived next door to us on Ralston Ave.  I especially remimber your mothers smile and sense of humor when one of the many Horne children would get into mischief. Nan will be so greatly missed, I was blessed to be part of her life through my friendship with Susan, she brought many laughs and smiles to all who knew her and had the privledge to spend time with her. As a long time friend of Helen's grandchildren I was sorry to hear of Nan's passing.  We certainly did think of her that way, she insisted!  I am glad that she had all of her loved ones with her.  She will be missed.
