Jeannine Marie Theriault

Passed peacefully on May 2, 2017 in Oakwood Terrace at the age of 86. Born in Pictou, daughter of the late Louis and Louise Theriault. Survived by sister Ann “Annette” (George) Robertson; sister-in-law Ann; nieces and nephews, Sharon (Rich), Peter (Lee), Louis (Debbie), Lynne (Mike), Wilson (Cathy), Glenn (Kathy) and Andrew (Cynthia); and much loved great-nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers, John, Alexander and Henry; sister-in-laws, Stella and Shelia; nephew, Michael. Jeannine was a graduate of the Nova Scotia Hospital, she spent 30 years working there as a registered nurse, including as a charge nurse in ECT. She was very dedicated to her job as a nurse and took special care of her patients, like taking them on outings on her days off. Jeannine loved children and they called her Aunt Jin, she was devoted to her nieces, nephews great-nieces and great-nephews. She will be missed. She loved her time at Caribou River at her cottage. Special thank you to unit C caregivers at Oakwood Terrace, Chaplain David Watt, Marlene Knowles and friends Lois and Stella that visited weekly. Memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, May 13th from 2-4pm in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home. There will be a memorial mass and burial at a later date in Pictou.
