John Duncan Glennie

Jack was born to Alexander and Catherine Glennie on July 26, 1937, in Stewiacke, Nova Scotia. Jack is remembered as a kind-hearted man who always put family first and thoroughly enjoyed spending time at the cottage with Ryan, friends, and family. Jack was an active member of his church community. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing with Alec, playing horseshoes, and bowling. Jack worked for Revenue Canada for over thirty years.

Beloved husband of Sylvia for 61 years, loving father to Derek (Barb) and Andrew (Jess), and grandpa to Rachel (Josh), Ellis, Meghan, and Ryan. Jack is survived by his twin brother Jim, brothers Alec (Myrna) and Robert, his sister Catherine, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Lillian.

Thank you to Parkland staff for caring for Jack over the past two years. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 18, 2024, at 1 p.m. at The Church of the Holy Spirit, 1 Regency Drive, Dartmouth.
