Bob commenced his career as a seaman on the Bounty. In 1963 he left the Bounty to work on the Bluenose II, he worked for a few years on the St. Charles and in 1969 he began employment as a captain on the Halifax-Dartmouth Ferry and later served as Ferry Services Supervisor.
He is survived by his brothers, Ron (Sophie), Dartmouth and Gordon, Whites Lake; nephew, David (Lori) and grandniece, Jillian.
There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held 2pm Friday April 5, 2013, in St. Timothy’s Cemetery, Prospect Bay, NS.
