Kathleen Emily Buzza

BUZZA, Kathleen Emily - It is with deeply heavy hearts we announce the passing of Kathleen on April 27, 2017. Knowing she will be joining the love of her life, Percy made her passing a little easier. Born May 11, 1924 in Winnipeg, Manitoba to parents James and Alice (Hosegood) Stobie. Mom married her high school sweetheart Percival Buzza during the Winnipeg flood in 1950. Living the life of a naval wife she followed Dad around Canada. They had fallen in love with Dartmouth and made that their home after his naval career. Mom was a fantastic craftswoman, tackling any type of handwork. She has left an amazing legacy of needlework and quilts. She was a founding member of the Mayflower Quilters Group. She loved the Blue Jays and will now have the best seats in the house. Mom was predeceased by her parents, sisters Edna and Doreen. She is survived by her brother James, her son Ron (Norma Petrie), their daughters Fiona (fiancé Jason) and Glenna (Tanner Holmes), their children Brooklyn and Nolan, her daughter Kathleen (Joe Mason), their daughters Lisa (Katie MacDougall), their son Ellis, and Janice Mason. Thank you to all the healthcare professionals who have cared for Mom over the years. Special thanks to two amazing friends Jan Haliburton and Heather Collens. To Zen Graves for being a wonderful neighbour and friend. Also to Kim and Greg for always making Mom look stunning. Thank you. Rest easy Mom.
