Kathleen "Kathy" Olga Faulkner

FAULKNER, Kathleen O., “Kathy” (nee Scotland) - 92, of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully at the Dartmouth General Hospital on December 10, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Horace and Pearl Scotland. Born and raised in Dartmouth she attended Hawthorne and Greenvale schools, where she enjoyed sports, especially basketball. Her joy of sports and social activities led her to meet her future husband, Alan. Together they enjoyed many social activities including bowling, cards and entertaining family and friends. Affectionately known as “Nana,” she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mom was an avid baker and cook, and loved sharing her creations with everyone. Her fierce devotion to her family and friends will be sorely missed. Kathy is survived by her children, Bruce (Laurie), Kelly (Brian), John (Ronda) and Loriann (Andrew); as well as 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Alan Charles Faulkner, sister, Audrey Morash and brother, Douglas Scotland. Funeral service will be held 11 am, Monday, Dec 20th at the Church of the Holy Spirit, Dartmouth. Rev Shirley Carras officiating. A private family internment will take place following the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Church of the Holy Spirit, 1 Regency Drive, Dartmouth, NS B2Y 1Z7. Condolences may be left for family at www.mattatallfuneralhome.com.
