OBITUARY
Lawrence Fenwick Selig
February 7, 1932 – December 25, 2020
Age 88, of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully in Grand View Manor, Berwick. He was a son of the late Henry Hudson and Flora (Tanner) Selig. Survived by children, Larry (Georgena) and Gloria Fredericks (Darren); step-children, Carl Mannette (Judy), Steven Mannette (Ella), Elaine Naugle (Jim) and Kenny Mannette (Patsy); grandchildren, Randall, Philip, Mitchell, Bradley; great-grandchildren, Gavin and Adalynn; step-grandchildren, Lee, Mitchel, Cory, Katrina and Michelle. Predeceased by first wife, Myra (Myles); son, Philip; daughter, Susen; second wife, Norma Mannette-Selig. Lawrence could most often be found tinkering in the basement where he was quite content amongst his tools bringing an old item back with a new purpose and life. Dad was a self-made handyman who made re-purposing fashionable before it was a thing. Lawrence was retired from the Canadian Coast Guard CCGS John A. MacDonald where he made many trips to the Arctic. Special thanks to the staff at Grand View Manor for their care over the last few months. Interment will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 1pm in Mount Hermon Cemetery, Dartmouth. Memorial donations may be made to the Nova Scotia SPCA.
