

Herman, Lloyd George – 93 of Dartmouth, It is with heartfelt sorrow we announce that Lloyd went to his Heavenly home on April 28, 2011 in Northwood Center. Born in Dartmouth, he was the son of the late Frederick and Ella (Oickle) Herman. Lloyd was a kind and loving husband, father and grandfather. He was employed by the city of Dartmouth in construction on many of the city landmarks ie. the Angus L. Macdonald Bridge. Lloyd worked and retired after 38 years from CN railways. He was a member of the brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Engineers. Lloyd is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 69 years Edythe (Kindervater); daughter Frances of Florida; two grand daughters, five great grand children and daughter in-law Delia. He was predeceased by son Frederick and infant son Lloyd.Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 pm Monday with a memorial service 2 pm Tuesday, May 3, all in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home 217 Portland Street, Dartmouth. Rev. Sarah Reaburn and Rev. Jim Anderson officiating. Burial will take place in Mount Hermon Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations to the Alzheimers Society of Nova Scotia or Northwood Center Foundation would be appreciated.
