

He was born in Kentville NS and spoke fondly of his youth growing up in downtown Dartmouth NS.
Malcolm was a proud member of UA Local 56, a life member of Mic Mac AAC, and a long-time member of ANAVets 349.
He loved to travel and was at his best when spending time with his friends and family playing cards and socializing.
Malcolm believed in hard work and often spent his free time and weekends helping family and friends with DIY projects and home improvements.
He began working with his father and would go on to run his own business. He spent the later part of his working years at NRC Canada.
His involvement with aquatic sports led him to become a rowing official where he officiated at high level events across the country.
Malcolm is remembered by his loving partner's sons James (Miho), Duane (Jennifer) and their son Mason, his niece Andrea (Ken), and nephew Steven (Lisa).
Malcolm is predeceased by his life partner Marlene (Killer), his sister Donna (Stephen), brother Wendell, and parents Fred and Ethel Schofield.
Malcolm’s family would like to thank the healthcare professionals who contributed to his care.
A memorial service will be held for Malcolm at Mattatall Funeral Home in Dartmouth on July 29, 2025 at 11:00 AM followed by a small reception. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Dartmouth at 12:15pm.
