Luis, Manuel R. “Mannie” – 54, of Halifax passed away October 20, 2015 in the Q E II Victoria General Site. Born in Portela De Rocas, Sever Do Vouga, Portugal. He was the son of the late Braz and Aida (Rodriguez) Luis. Mannie spent many years as a carpenter and cab driver. He is survived by his wife Kimberley Luis of 14 years; children Christina Briand, Miguel Luis and Kaysi Murphy; grandson Isaac LeBlanc; sisters Joaquina Luis and Margarida Maria DeCampos; brother Alvaro Luis; nephews Michael and Matthew Luis; nieces Samantha DeCampos and Nicole Luis. A memorial service will take place on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 1pm in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street. Burial will take place in Mount Hermon Cemetery.
