Margaret Sharon Hale

Passed away on January 26, 2016, at Melville Lodge, Halifax, in her 72nd year. She was the daughter of the late Aileen and Ted Hale of Stellarton. She attended Stellarton School before making her way to Halifax. She worked for many years as an Operating Room Technician at the Victoria General Hospital. Sharon worked briefly for Zurich Insurance before joining Maritime Life where she had a career in disability benefits. In her prime Sharon was a classy lady, always with great shoes and purses, well-manicured and coiffed. She was funny and fun to be with, larger than life and full of wit and opinion. She is survived by her brother Lance (Carol) Hale, her sister Rosalind (Mark) Penfound, nephews Andrew (Elizabeth) Hale and Will (Dianne Woodworth) Penfound, nieces Sara (Tim) Boudreau and Kate (Joe) Starr and their families, and her dedicated and longtime friend, Fran Stearns. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 30th at 2pm in A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street, Dartmouth. No flowers please.
