Martin Glen Beck

Martin Glenn Beck, 49 of Dartmouth, passed away in the Dartmouth General Hospital on August 26th after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Born May 27, 1963, Martin was the son of Rach and Donna (Watt) Beck. His great passions in life were reading, music and spending time with his close knit group of friends. Martin enjoyed his extensive and eclectic music collection and was a talented and accomplished guitar player. Martin’s fondest childhood memories were of his time spent with family at his grand-parents home in West Quoddy. Martin was predeceased by his infant brother, James Beck. Martin is survived by his son, Benjamin Beck, parents, Rach and Donna Beck, sisters Patricia, Darlene (Paul), brothers, Ward (Barra) and Christopher (Tammy) Beck and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Martin appreciated the support of his family, friends and his co-workers at Armour Transportation Systems. Special mention must be made to Jeff Hudson, Martin’s lifelong friend, who provided friendship and support in the last difficult months of Martin’s life. There will be no formal memorial service or visitation as per Martin’s wishes. Interment and a family memorial will take place at a later date.
