Age 84, of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully at home on Febraury 23, 2020. Son of the late Annie and William Jeffries. Survived by wife of 63 years, Helen; daughters, Rose Shields (Joey), Ann Marie Drake (Francis) and Michelle Leadley (Allen); grandchildren, Melissa Veinot (Jason), Joey Morash (Felicia), Kimberley Conway (Conor), Regan Leadley (Steve) and Michael Shields (Jaimie); four great-grandchildren; sister, Rose St. Pierre, of California; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by grandson, Mark David Morash and ten siblings. Mike served in the military from 1957-1962, serving two tours overseas. Mike retired from Canadian Linen as a chief engineer. Mike was an avid musician, playing several instrumets; he played drums for the Dorymen and the Sou’Westers. Mike wrote and recorded his own music during his retirement and entertained and taught music in his community. Mike was a great presence in our life and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020 from 12-2pm with memorial service to follow at 2pm, all in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home.
