MEEKISON, Micheal Gordon - May 9, 1994 - November 14, 2020. It is with very heavy hearts that the family of Micheal Gordon Meekison, said goodbye for the very last time on the night of November 14, 2020, with his mother, sisters, and grandmother by his side. Micheal was originally born in Halifax as a pre-me at 4 lbs 12 oz, at the Grace Maternity Hospital. Growing up, Michael lived in Cape Breton for his early childhood, until he came to us at the age of 10. Graduating from Parkview Education in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Micheal had set out on his adventure at adulthood. Growing up he would love to hang out with his sisters, play video games and listening to dubstep or rap music, and he would spend a lot of time out with his dear friends. He worked out of high school at Burger King in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia; eventually making his way to shift supervisor. That wasn’t enough for Micheal,so he set sail to the city where he ended up meeting his Alehouse family. He has spent the last several years working there as cook during the day, bouncer by night. He will forever be missed by his Second Family there. He will forever be missed also by Bryden and Cassius, his beloved nephews. A family man through and through; he loved helping others, had a great sense of humour, and will never be forgotten by any of the hearts he has touched in his 26 years on Earth. Micheal is predeceased by his grandfathers, Cyril Gordon Bradbury and Norman Micheal Meekison.
Micheal is survived by his grandmother, Christina Bradbury. Parents, Debby Meekison and Patrick Benoit, Halifax. His sisters, Ashley Meekison (Josh), Lunenburg, Emma Benoit (Michael), Lunenburg. His nephews, Bryden Patrick Gordon Meekison and Cassius Cyril Cross. His biological father Randy Ritchie (Valerie), Ontario. His special aunt Dannicka (Alex), British Columbia, and many other aunts and uncles from all sides of our family. His beloved room-mates, Nancy, Krystal, and Robert, Halifax. Cremation will take place under the direction of A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home. A private service will take place for his immediate family, and will be able to be viewed online by visiting: https://funeraweb.tv/en/diffusions/19967/wait Online condolences may be sent to: www.mattatallfuneralhome
