

SIMPSON, Patricia Louise —70, of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully April 16, 2010, in Dartmouth General Hospital with her children by her side. Born in Joggins Bridge, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Ida (Roope) Thomas. Patricia's greatest accomplishment was her family. A strong, funny, proud, single mother - she was adored by her children and grandchildren. Retired from management of two real estate offices, she had a long career in sales and journalism, including being the first female salesperson for CBC Halifax and recently completing a novel. Patricia will be celebrated and loved by her family always. She is survived by her son, Mitchell Simpson, New Glasgow; daughters, Candra (Willis) Payson, Bear River; Shelley Simpson-McKay (Howard), Dartmouth; Nicole (Patrick) Brannon, Dartmouth; brother, Ron (Dorothy) Thomas, Digby; 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two nephews. Patricia was predeceased by her brother. Robert; sister. Beverly and parents. Earl and Ida Thomas (of Smiths Cove, Digby Co.). A memorial service will be held in A.L.
