

Conrod, Percy R.- 88, of Dartmouth passed away peacefully on July 15, 2013 at the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Seaforth, he was a son of the late Percy G. and Pearl I. (Duggan) Conrod. Percy was a veteran of WWII. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and looking after his garden in preparation for the traditional Hodge Podge every August. He enjoyed playing cards, cribbage, 45’s, poker, horseshoes and darts. He is survived by his son, Gary; brother, Lionel (Lily) Conrod; sister, Frances (Harris) Bonang; grandchildren; Brian (Nancy), Pam (Mike), Wes (Lisa), Kirk (Pati), Steve (Terri), Jamie, Jeff, Cayla and Corey (Shylowe); great grandchildren; Erica, Kyle (Alicia), Dawson, Allison, Drew (Shelby) Justin, Nick (Kelsi), Stevie-Lee, Jake and Easton; great great grandchild; Rylea and Declan as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Greta; brothers, Ralph, Carl, Ross, Carmon, and Darrel; sister, Lois Riding; daughter Carolyn and son Percy Jr. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Friday July 19 in A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street, Dartmouth. Memorial service will be 10am Saturday July 20 from St. James United Church, 181 Portland Street. Rev. Fred Snyder officiating.
