Reginald Virgil Dorey

Dorey, Reginald Virgil – On February 23, 2015, Reg Dorey (78) passed away peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit in the QEII. Born in 1936 in Woodside, NS, Reg was the eldest son of the late Virgil and Florence (Manley) Dorey. He retired from DND Shearwater in 1994 after 42 years of service. Dad will always be remembered for his sense of humor, his kindness and his ability to make others laugh. Reg is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth (Hill) Dorey, Dartmouth; Daughter Sherri Lynn Dorey, Dartmouth; 3 Grand Fur Babies Salem, Tabitha and Coven; Sister-in-law Phyllis (Bev) Ashby, Dartmouth; Brothers-in-law George Hill, Aylesford, NS; Lloyd (Edith) Hill, Swanzey, NH; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, sister June Davis; brothers Eric Dorey and Wayne Dorey; and sister-in-law Ruth (Scott) Hill. We would like to thank the members of the EHS Paramedics, VON and Palliative Care staff who helped us this past week. Donations may be made to charities of your choice.
