

Fraser, Rubin Darryl-58 of North Preston, passed away surrounded by his loving family on February 6, 2014 at the QE II Halifax Infirmary. Born in North Preston he was a son of the late Janet and Ernest Fraser Sr.
Rubin was a member of St. Thomas United Baptist Church and he was employed as a construction worker.
He is survived by sons, Ricardo, Windsor, ON, Antron (Charlotte), North Preston, and Emmanuel, Halifax; daughters, Natalia, Toronto, ON and Trezane, Dartmouth; brothers, Leander (Adreth-Ena), Spencer (Karen), Daniel, Carl, all of Toronto, Anthony (Patricia), Barry, Jason, all of Dartmouth, Nathaniel (Wynola), of Cherry Brook, Ernest (Marilyn), of Halifax, Blair, of North Preston, and Karl (Trina) of East Preston; sisters, Violet Glasgow (George), Jean Simmons (Wilfred Jr.), Sherry Beals (Robert) and Nicole Smith (Garman), all of North Preston, Doreen (Cyril), Lenore, Darlene, all of Dartmouth; God mother, Eunice Fraser; 11 grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his, sister, Burlene Smith; sister-in-law, Mary Rose Fraser; nephews, Marvin Fraser and Johntia Whynder.
There will be no visitation. Funeral service will take place at 1pm Monday February 10, 2014 in St. Thomas United Baptist Church; Rev. Wallace Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Downey Road Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Thomas United Baptist Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses on the 8th floor of the Halifax Infirmary.
