Ruth May Fall-LeBlanc

December 26, 1946July 14, 2020

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Ruth, beloved daughter of the late David George Fall and Hilda May Fall (Bissett). Ruth grew up in Port Wallace, Dartmouth, NS. She leaves behind daughters Laura Lee, Bonnie (Kim) and Theresa (Laurie), stepson Rob (Wanda), stepdaughter Yvonne (Casey), grandchildren Rob, Danica, Christine, Kayla, Kody, Steph, and Tyse, step grandchildren Sherry, Jeff, Rob, Sonya, Sandy. Ruth and her husband Cliff shared great-grandchildren and even great-great-grandchildren, she loved them all.

Ruth will be missed by sisters Ann Marie, Mary (Gordon) and Barb (Albert), she was predeceased by her husband Cliff, brother David, brother-in-law Otty, stepdaughter Judy, step grandson Danny and nephew Todd. She leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews and other loved family members on both sides. Ruth will be remembered for her loving ways, humour, laughter, and her love to stir things up. She never forgot a birthday card, always slipping one in the mail. Family was very important to her, she was her happiest when visiting PEI. Ruth took pride in her home, her organizational skills were exceptional, everything always had its place.

Ruth was well known for her generosity, she gave to those she could. Ruth was passionate about a better quality of life for underprivileged people. Over the years she was involved in helping many different causes, she hated seeing mankind stuggle in life, She worried about Seniors, the shortage of affordable homes, those living on the streets. Ruth did what she could for different shelters, donating items needed, in earlier years her contributions to those in need were countless. We lost a wonderful person and heaven received a special Angel.

The family wishes to thank all the dear friends who supported Ruth over the years, Ivan from the Port Wallace United church who advised Ruth when she sought guidance and most recently the amazing doctors and nurses at the Dartmouth General who cared for her in her time of need.

Because we are unable to truly honour Ruth's life in this pandemic, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers anyone who wishes to can send a donation to the Port Wallace United Church Building Fund or Hope for Wildlife.

To Ann Marie, Mary & Barb - I knew Ruth through you. She was a wonderful person. I enjoyed times we spent together when she visited McAdam and times we spent together visiting her in Dartmouth. I enjoyed our conversations. She had a compassion for people, especially seniors and those less privileged. She had a strong love for family and for friends.

To all of you and to her daughters and the rest of her family may her memory be a blessing to all of you and I hope you know how well loved each of you were by her. May she be welcomed by God himself and spend her nights wrapped in the wings of angels.

I will miss you, Ruth. Be happy, be free!

Sweet Ruth was my Aunt Joyce's best friend. She was always ready with a hug and a smile. She often told me she loved me. I just wish I had spent more time with her.

Ruth, my dearest friend, though we lived miles apart we did keep up with phone calls and lately video calls. I miss your voice and laughter but know, in my heart, that you are happily reunited with your soulmate and partner in teasing. Together forever rest in Peace in Gods loving hands. Now you can truly watch over your loved ones EVERYWHERE and not always wonder.

Mary, Barb and Anne Marie you have lost the most loving and caring soul I have ever known and I truly am deeply sorrowed in your loss. She lives on in your heart and memories. As you look at the stars in the sky she showers you with her eternal love in each twinkle of her eyes.

To Laura, Bonnie and Teresa and all your families I extend my deepest and sincere sympathies in the loss of your beloved Mother. She and Cliff were the highlights of mine and Richard’s life never leaving us lacking in love, kindness and laughter. I will miss her greatly. ❤️❤️❤️

Ruth was a dear friend . I will miss her exceedingly . We enjoyed calling our card games together our ‘work’ . When I had emergency surgery while my late husband Albert and I were in Halifax Cliff and Ruth came to stay with us for several days . They were a huge help in the early stages of my recovery .
My sincere condolences to you her family in your great loss .

My Mother has touched so many people's lives in a way that is inspirational to me. I will miss her voice, her laughter and most of all her heart. My mom has taught me to love hard and without condition. She has taught me to be nice to others and give to those in need. Two things I should have paid closer attention to is her organization and her persistence that everything has its place. I was too busy resisting the urge to be just like my mother. I admired her ability to forgive others no matter what and remember dates of importance to loved ones. Always in my heart, I love you my beautiful Mother and miss you like crazy already!! 🤟❤😘

So many memories from over the years. Visiting your family homes in Dartmouth and in Bradelbane; summer Fall picnics spread around the Island; and chats on the phone getting caught up on the family happenings. Ruth - Your smile, the twinkle in your eyes, your compassion and your quick laugh are a few of the things that I will miss.
Barb, Ann Marie and Mary I know this is a difficult time but you will help each other. Your shared memories will bring not only the tears but also laughter to ease the pain. Hugs to you all.

Ruth was my Big Sis and we shared many wonderful times together but, also as typical sisters we had some ups and downs. We enjoyed chatting on the phone most days and I miss those calls already. I wasn’t ready to place that rabbit yet but I will do that for you when you are finally in our resting place. Love to you Big Sis from Your Little Sis, Barb.
