Age 92, Dartmouth, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2015, in Ocean View Manor. Born in Annapolis Royal, she was the daughter of the late May and Frank Grant. She was predeceased by her husband, James Gower; son, James Leslie Gower; daughter Marlene Montgomery and son-in-law, Robert (Bob) Montgomery. She is survived by daughter, Beverley (Mike) Thomson; grandchildren, David, Susan, Greg and Robin Thomson and Laurie (Reid), Robbie, Brian and Stephen Montgomery; 11 great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild. Ruth loved spending time with friends and family, travelling to international destinations such as Europe and Africa, toiling in her garden, being a member and volunteer at Christ Church, and working in ladies high-end fashion most notably at the Wardrobe Too Boutique. A memorial service will be held in Christ Church (corner of Wentworth and Ochterloney Streets in Dartmouth) on Friday, December 11 at 11 a.m. Donations in memory may be made to Christ Church.
