Sandra Michelle "Sandi" Johnston

Sandi was very active in her church community, StoneRidge Fellowship in Lower Sackville where she was a volunteer with the AWANA club. She enjoyed crafting and going to craft shows, as well as knitting scarves. More recently she became very interested in photography and took some courses through NSCC. She and her husband Darrell loved to go to movies together and Moosehead hockey games, often going to Alfredo’s for dinner before the game. Sandi also loved the Apple Blossom festival, she never missed a year.

She is survived by her loving husband of 19 years, Darrell; brother, Joe (Lori Jenkins); niece, Madeleine; nephew, Mason; mother-in-law, Charlotte MacRury; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Monday November 25, 2013 at 2pm from StoneRidge Fellowship Church, 85 Temple Terrace, Lower Sackville. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, the Nova Scotia Kidney Foundation or StoneRidge Fellowship.

A special thank you to the nurses and doctors of the Neurological ICU at the Halifax Infirmary for their care and making Sandi’s wish to be an organ donor come true.
