I was so saddened to hear of Shirley’s passing a few days ago. She was a lovely person and a wonderful friend. Shirley’s demeanour was always the same, a very compassionate person.l have many fond memories of times Don,myself and family had with the Turners and MacLeans on many occasions over the years.
May many precious memories sustain you now and in the days ahead.

I was reading obituaries today and just learned of your mother’s passing. Shirley was my first boss I ever had when I started my first job back in 1982. I worked there for 3 years. I hadn’t seen her since I left in 1985. When I seen her picture, she hadn’t changed a bit. So sorry to read that your father has also passed. I have never forgotten her and attribute by strong work ethics from your mother, that stayed with me throughout my working career.  Sorry for your loss.

Shirley and Fred go back a long way in our lives and have pleasant memories of times shared.  We were saddened to learn of Shirley's passing recently and want to share our sincere sympathy and love to all the family.   Shirley was a very lovely lady who enjoyed life, worked hard and made a lot of friends.  She will be missed not only by her family but by others who knew her. So sorry to hear about Shirley she was an amazing person love playing darts with her and Fred sadly she going be missed my condolences Wendy and family so sorry for your loss.

It was with great sadness that my wife Fran and I read of Shirleys passing we have many  memories of the GOOD times we enjoyed with her and Fred when we lived   in Shearwater. We hit it off  and had  many a great weekends curling in Dartmouth and times when we would hook up when they travelled to Florida after we were all retired.
Her and Fred proved to be great friends. Although we parted ways after we retired the memories we have still remain a big  part of our lives.
Shirley was a wonderful person and can be described in one word. LADY.

I first met Shirley in 1973 when I started employment with Canadian Acceptance, which then became Household Finance.  I worked with Shirley for 8 years.  She was the best boss ever!  We also became very good friends.  She was a wonderful person!
