Virginia Mabel Adamski

Adamski, Virginia Mabel Christiana - 88, of Dartmouth. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, "Grandma," who departed to be with her Lord and Saviour peacefully at home on September 21, 2016. Virginia was born on November 13, 1927 in Hamilton, Ontario to the late Walter and Muriel (Lee) Teale. She was predeceased by her husband of 69 years Stanley Walter and by her siblings Gloria, Sonny, William and Leila. She is survived and will be deeply missed by siblings June, Beverly and Wayne; her children John (Sharon, deceased), William (Leslie), Lee (Carolyn), Kim (Brian), Barbara (Steven), Candas (Jeffrey) and David (Paula); 34 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Virginia left her home as a young bride in 1946 with her husband, a young sailor in the Canadian Navy. They settled in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia where they raised a family together that has grown to over 100 members and is still growing. Her impact and influence were felt beyond her immediate family, for she had a magnanimous warmth that procured the admiration of all who crossed paths with her. There are hundreds of things we could say about our beloved Mom and "Gooch" but the greatest summation we can give is that she loved us well, that she was loved by all, and that she will be missed beyond description. Visitation will take place from 6 – 9 pm on Tuesday, September 27, in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home 217 Portland Street, Dartmouth. Funeral Service will take place at 11am Wednesday, September 28, in City Church 276 Herring Cove Road, Spryfield. Pastor Jerry Kendrick officiating.
