Billard, William Emanuel – 75, of Lower Sackville, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2019 in the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax. Born in Halifax, Bill was the son of the late William and Gertrude (Oates) Billard. Bill worked various jobs over the years, including Farmer’s Dairy, the Lord Nelson Hotel and as a security guard but Bill’s most important job was being a father to his only child, Cory, who he loved dearly. Bill was a man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He enjoyed sharing a cup of coffee with his friends or playing darts and Bingo at the Senior’s Centre where he lived. He was a man who would give you the last of whatever he had, including the shirt off his back. He never complained and was always happy to chat with folks from all walks of life. Bill is survived by his son, Cory, Lr. Sackville, brother Gerry Billard (Brenda), Hants County and sisters in-law, Nadene Rose (David), Melanie Moore (Tom) and Shelley Clee (Paul). Besides his parents, Bill was pre-deceased by brother Edward “Teddy” Billard and his ex-wife and best friend Debbie Billard. Sorry about your lose Cory. My brother Donald was in the same room as your father at the VG. I REMEMBER your Dad always coloring pictures and signed one for me. I would also every time I went to see my brother I always made a point of talking to your Dad and before I left I would get him a popsicle and an ice cream. He was so polite to me and he loved me coming in because he knew I would get a popsicle or 2 for him and ice cream. God bless you Cory for having an amazing father. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
