

Bill was born in Northern Ireland, received much of his education in the UK, emigrated to Canada in 1974, settled in Nova Scotia in 1980 and died at the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax on March 13, 2025.
He was dedicated to his physiotherapy profession and known for his empathy and practical advice bestowed upon his patients.
He is survived by his sister, Renee; brother-in-law, Bobby; nephew, Michael; nieces, Paula and Andrea and the wider family circle. Predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Martha (Hill) Humphries.
Family would like to thank all Bill’s many friends in his adopted home of Halifax for their friendship over the years and in particular during his recent illness. Bill generously supported his church along with many other charitable organizations aiding the less fortunate in society.
A celebration of Bill’s life and the profound impact he had on his friends and patients will be held at The First Congregational Church of Halifax, 1871 Seldon Street, Halifax at 2pm on Saturday April 5, 2025 with a reception to follow in the church. Bill’s ashes will be interred at a later date in the Carnmoney Cemetery in Belfast near the ashes of his late mother and father.
