William Harold Lacey

Lacey, William H. “Sonny”-77 of Dartmouth passed away December 6, 2011 in the Dartmouth General Hospital. He was the son of the late William and Beryle (Hire) Lacey. He was the assistant manager of the Dartmouth Bolodrome and employed for 40 years with W. Eric Whebby Ltd. He will be missed by his crib buddies at the garage. Sonny is survived by his wife of 50 years Pat; sons, Robert, Steven (Cathie); daughter, Laurenda; grandchildren Christopher and Candace; brother, Jim (Sandra) Preeper; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sisters, Gwendolyn, Muriel and Madeline. The family would like to thank the paramedics, ER staff, staff of 4West, and also a special thanks to Krista with VON services. Donations in Sonny’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice. Memorial gathering will take place from 2-5pm on Sunday December 11th, 2011 at A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
