William Richard Perrin

Perrin,William (Bill) Richard - 77, Dartmouth, passed away peacefully at the Dartmouth General Hospital, November 18, 2011. Born in Toronto, Ontario, he was the son of the late William (Bill) and Ethel Perrin. Bill is survived by his loving wife June (Vantassell), sister, Doreen Thompson of Surrey, BC, daughter Debbie Carr (Laurie), son Steven (Debbie Crook) all of Dartmouth, and son Paul (Roberta Hall) of Elie, Manitoba, 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Bill proudly served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1952 to 1961, and afterwards enjoyed a 50 year career in the insurance industry, retiring in April 2011 from Eisenhauer Insurance Inc. He was an avid golfer and past member of the Brightwood Golf and Country Club and enjoyed family gatherings on the special occasions and Sunday morning coffee with family and friends. At his request, cremation has already taken place. A Celebration of Bill's life will take place at A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, Monday November 21 from 7-9pm. In lieu of flowers, and in Bill's memory, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, or to a charity of one's choice.
