Wray Elias Hart

October 12, 1955January 27, 2018

HART, Wray Elias – 62 of Halifax passed away January 27, 2018 due to a motor vehicle accident. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Wray M. and Audrey D. (Keeping) Hart. Wray enjoyed cars, movies and fishing. Wray worked for Sivaco Nails for about six years and Maritime Moving and Storage for three years. His greatest joy in life was helping others in the community given at his expense. He is survived by his son; Anthony (Ashley) Hart, of Halifax, daughter; Teresa Hart, of Waterville, brothers; Russell (Moira), Marven (Patricia), both of Halifax, Brian (Marilyn), of Dartmouth, sisters; Betty Kerr and Peggy Billard, grandchildren; Sidra Isabel, Braydi Hope and Hayden Hart. He was predeceased by nephew Paul Leonard Hart. Visitation will take place on Friday, February 2, from 6 – 9pm in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street. Memorial service will take place on Saturday, February 3, at 2pm in the Dartmouth First Church of the Nazerene, 3 Henry Street, Rev. Ralph Yarn officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Hacketts Cove. Family flowers only, donations may be made to Hope Cottage 2435 Brunswick St, Halifax, NS B3K 2Z4. I did not know Wray. I am sorry. I am also a mom, and I'm sick for the family of Dennis Patterson. Mom's out there, this could be any of us, and our sons. My prayers go out to the families.

I am so sorry for the lost of Wray,He was such a loving caring man I have known him for about 40 years he lived upstairs from my husband myself and my children in Dartmouth on Portland Street. He would come downstairs to our apartment and talk he babysat my children for me very caring is was. It was Christmas and my children gave him gifts and Wray bought them hair clips for their hair my 3 children adored him. RIP Wray You Will surely be missed but you will never ever be forgotten
