Alice Mae (Walker) Stenger

Funeral services for Alice Mae (Walker) Stenger, 78, of Davenport, will be 12:00 pm noon on Wednesday at the Cunnick-Collins Mortuary Chapel, Davenport. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Buffalo, Iowa. The family will greet friends on Wednesday from 10:00 am to service time at the Mortuary.Alice passed away on Friday, March 27, 2015 at Genesis Medical Center – East Campus, Davenport.Alice Mae Walker was born on March 24, 1937 in Buffalo, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and Hulda (Spaulding) Walker. She owned and operated Alice Mae’s interiors. She also worked at Plumbs, Northwest Carpets, and Dave’s Floor Trends. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Blue Grass American Legion Auxiliary.Survivors include her daughter; Linda (Lee) Shaffer of Davenport, son; Donald (Karen) Stenger of Iowa City, 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, sister; Lulu Rose Roe of Davenport, and a host of nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Lisa Mallette; a son, William “Mickey” Stenger; brothers, John Walker, Charles Walker and Dwight Walker.Memorials may be directed to the family.
