Alice L. Witt

As per Alice’s wishes, her body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery, Davenport. Memorials may be made to St. James Lutheran Church, Bettendorf. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com.

Alice was born January 24, 1924 in Davenport to Herla (Braack) and Otto Witt.

After graduation from the former Davenport High School, Alice worked in the secretarial field, retiring from John Deere.

She was the ultimate care giver, caring for her parents until their death. She cared faithfully for her former neighbor in Bettendorf and very good friend, Ruthie Munks, while at Ridgecrest. Alice loved to travel and did so extensively in her younger days.

Alice was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Bettendorf, serving on the church council and various other capacities, including the choir and making home visitations.

Alice survivors include sister, Eleanor (Rhinehart) Wuestenberg, of Cecil, Wisconsin and ten nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Anna Marie Lorber, and brothers, Willard, Richard, and Charles.
